The safe mode will ensure the brakes be applied and the Kinito EMS will come to a halt.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the Turning Circle Capacity?” css=””]The articulated vehicle (Kinito EMS + dump truck + Excavator) could easily enter a 90 degree turn. This depends on the distance between the Kinito EMS and the dump truck which is controlled by the excavator\u2019s boom position. Bringing the dump truck and Kinito EMS closer will shorten the turning circle and the other way round. All this can be controlled without damage to the pulling vehicle or the excavator boom.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What is the Gradient Limitations?” css=””]The articulated vehicle (Kinito EMS + Dump truck + Excavator) could easily allow for the movement through gradients only confined to the towing vehicle\u2019s ability. However, it is with the declines that our system uniquely supports the towing vehicle with our fail-safe, remote control braking system.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”With what do you tow the Kinito EMS?” css=””]Once the excavator is loaded onto the Kinito EMS, the bucket of the excavator could be loaded onto an articulated or a rigid dump truck. On special occasions and in certain situations, even a normal road truck could be used. We recommend 2 buckets of sand in the truck to cushion the impact of the excavator boom and bucket.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What should the Road width be?” css=””]Our Kinito EMS does not impact the size of the towing vehicle. However, with the excavator parked on top of the Kinito EMS an additional 1,5 meters on both sides must be accommodated.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What maintenance is required on the Kinito EMS?” css=””]The only maintenance that is required on the Kinito EMS is that of the wheel bearings, the brake shoes, the batteries on the braking system and the tyres.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”How is the excavator loaded onto the Kinito EMS?” css=””]The loading sequence of the excavator follows two distinct steps.<\/p>\n

Step one<\/b>: Once the excavator moves onto the Kinito EMS, the tracks are secured onto the Kinito EMS\u2019s specially designed \u201cbase rib support\u201d. The excavator is moved onto the Kinito EMS until it reaches the backstop. The guide formations on the Kinito EMS form walls at either side of the base and assist in guiding the continuous track onto the base. This prevents sideways movement when towed.<\/p>\n

Step two<\/b>: The boom’s bucket is put down on the back of the towing vehicle on the other side. Pressure is then placed on the back on the truck which lifts the excavator completely from the ground. At this point the excavator is loaded securely and safely while the excavator could be switched off as there is no need for the excavator to idle while being moved.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”What prevents the excavator to slip off the Kinito EMS when towed?” css=””]Both bogies are equipped with a specially designed base (Base Rib Support) that locks the tracks of the excavator onto the bogies.
